Education
Education is an essential component of successful community management. Euclid offers several educational opportunities to provide board members with the confidence to navigate the complex, variety of issues they will face. Upon your election to the board, we issue a letter introducing you to your new duties and responsibilities. We also offer the following seminars:
· New Board Member Workshop
These seminars inform new Board Members what is expected of them as a Director and Officer of the Association. This includes how to prepare for a meeting, meeting procedures and officer duties.
· Treasurers' Seminar
These seminars educate Board Members on their fiscal responsibilities. We provide each Board Member with the HOA’s financial statements, reserve study and collection packet; and the tools to analyze these reports.
· Semi-annual Large-scale Seminar
We conduct two large-scale education seminars for all Board Members. These seminars are structured to discuss both common and complex association challenges. Examples of topics include: new laws affecting common interest developments; reserve studies; insurance; and dealing with homeowners. Average attendance at these seminars is 150 Board Members.
· Education Letter
Euclid issues monthly education letters providing board members with industry insight and best practices from our extensive portfolio of communities.
Our education efforts don't stop at the board. To help owners understand the aspects of living in a community association, we also provide every new owner with a welcome packet introducing the association and setting proper expectations. Copies of Rules and Regulations, architectural forms and other community-specific information can be included with this letter.
